Pray for Amelia Fundraiser Tee

  • $ 15.00

With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant families are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure.  The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses.  The Little Rock, AR communities are raising funds for COTA in honor of transplant patients like local baby, Amelia Fowler.

Amelia is the daughter of Jack and Mary Lu Fowler.  Born on September 14, 2016, Amelia was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, and a Kasai Procedure was performed back in November 2016 to try and correct this malfunction in Amelia's biliary tract. The surgery was a success and we saw tremendous improvement in Amelia until April 2017, when she started to have ascites and her belly filled with fluid. At the request of The doctors at St. Louis Children's Hospital, we went for a liver transplant evaluation at the beginning of May. and they have recommended a life-saving liver transplant is necessary.  An estimated $30,000 is being raised by community volunteers. Proceeds will benefit COTA in honor of Team Amelia to assist with transplant-related expenses.
